BioSci Toolkit is a national profit for purpose CIC driving systemic change in the bioscience pipeline. We are dedicated to UNLOCKING diverse talent, REMOVING barriers and EMPOWERING students from Black, mixed, and seldom-heard ethnic communities to confidently navigate pathways into bioscience degrees and careers.
We seek to build confidence, competence and advance equity so that we can see ourselves in labs, academia, and biotech, and create science that truly serves our communities in the best possible way!

- ACCESS: knowledge gaps and lower application success rates
- PROGRESS: insufficient academic and personal support, visible role models, inclusive curriculum and support structures.
- SUCCESS: lower attainment and lower progression to employment.

- From widening participation backgrounds, specifically young carers, care- experienced, estranged, refugee/asylum, on free school meals and attended a state school.

We deliver career talks through school outreach, showcasing diverse study routes and career paths into biosciences, and use tailored public engagement tools to connect with a wide range of audiences.
Skills Workshops
We run skills workshops in partnership
with other STEM organisations to enhance employability for prospective and current students.
BioSci Future Leaders Mentorship Scheme
Empowering students with the confidence, skills, and career clarity to step boldly into bioscience, shaping the next generation of diverse leaders in the field.
BioSci Launchpad Work Experience
Connecting students to real-world bioscience opportunities, building work-ready skills and unlocking pathways into the sector to drive a stronger, more diverse talent pipeline.
